2024 Virtual Account Opening (VAO) Campaign
Date
Limited to the predetermined campaign dates only: 3rd March, 6th June, 9th September and 12th December 2024.
Eligibility for Participation
- Open to all new account openings (Adult Accounts and Junior Accounts) done online via Virtual Account Opening (VAO).
- The eligibility for opening a TH account are as follows:-
- Adult Account
- Muslim
- Malaysian citizen
- 18 years of age or older
- Mentally sound
- Junior Account
- Muslim
- Malaysian citizen
- Below 18 years of age
- Legal biological/adopted child
- Guardian must have a TH account and must be a user of the THiJARI application
- Mentally sound
- Adult Account
Mechanism
- Register VAO on the specified dates. During VAO registration, depositors need to select a TH branch to do account verification.
- To open an Adult Account
- Visit www.thijari.com.my
- Click on “No TH Account? Open Now” on the THiJARI home page and follow the next step
- To open a Junior Account
- Guardian must log in to the THiJARI application (own account). Select the Junior Account Opening Menu and complete the transaction.
- The first 1,000 depositors who register VAO in March, June, September and December will be selected as winners.
- Depositors will be able to check their names to see if they are eligible via a social media announcement and the TH website.
Prize
- The prizes offered are as follows:-
Date Prize 3 March 2024 1,000 units of souvenir from TH 6 June 2024 1,000 units of souvenir from TH 9 September 2024 1,000 units of souvenir from TH 12 December 2024 1,000 units of souvenir from TH - Prize claims can be made after the name list is uploaded on TH's official website and social media. To make a claim, the depositor needs to ensure that the account verification is done within 30 days after the VAO registration date by depositing a minimum of RM100.
- Eligibility will be void if verification is done at another TH branch (not as selected during VAO registration), does not meet the minimum deposit requirements or exceeds the account verification period.
- Depositors who meet the conditions and qualifications will receive the gift after account verification is done.
General Terms and Conditions
- TH reserves the right to reject entries that do not meet the requirements or that are received after the specified date. TH is not obliged to present any reason and no correspondence and/or appeal to dispute the decision made by TH will be entertained.
- TH at its absolute discretion reserves the rights to amend, cancel, terminate or suspend the Campaign and/or Terms and Conditions from time to time, in whole or in part, by providing sufficient notice no less than fourteen (14) days prior to the date of amendment, cancellation, termination or suspension. The mode of notifications could be in writing, via electronic means or display of notices at TH’s branches and website or in other manner as may be determined by TH. For the avoidance of doubt, cancellation, termination, or suspension by TH of the Campaign and/or Terms and Conditions shall not entitle the Eligible Participant(s) in this Campaign to any claim or compensation against TH for any losses or damages whatsoever suffered or incurred as a direct and indirect result of the act of amendment, cancellation, termination or suspension.
- TH reserves the sole and absolute right to substitute any prize for any other item(s) of equivalent value or with any other items TH deems appropriate by issuing a notice at least fourteen (14) days prior to the date of each draw is scheduled to be made by TH to all Eligible Participant(s). The mode of notifications could be in writing, via electronic means or display of notices at TH’s branches and website or in other manner as may be determined by TH.
- The Campaign Prizes does not include any other incidental expenses e.g transportation etc., unless expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions (if any).

What is the final step to activate the account? |
Adult account – Upon successful submission of VAO, you are required to visit your preferred or any TH branches for the verification and activation of TH account applied. You need to bring MyKad and RM2.00 being minimum initial deposit. Trustee (child) account- Upon successful submission of Trustee VAO, the guardian needs to visit the preferred or any TH branches for the verification and activation of TH account applied. You need to bring the following documents:
