  • All Prospective Hajj must take the Meningococcal Quadrivalent ACYW-135 Vaccine as per mandate by the Government of Saudi Arabia.

  • While, Covid-19 and Influenza Vaccine is encouraged to be taken by all Prospective Hajj by the Government of Saudi Arabia.

  • Every Prospective Hajj also needs to pass a health examination with the criteria and guidelines set before being allowed to depart for the Holy Land. Prospective Pilgrims must be in good health.

What are TH's preparations if there are Pilgrims infected with Covid-19 in the Holy Land?
  • TH and the Malaysian Ministry of Health (KKM) has always been taking care of the welfare and health of every pilgrim.

  • TH and KKM have set a number of standard operating procedures (SOP) in the Homeland and the Holy Land to be followed by every pilgrims as well as Malaysian Hajj Officers.

  • However, the management of health and Covid-19 cases in the Holy Land is also subject to the Saudi Arabian Government’s health protocols and directives.

Will TH increase health workers to contain Covid-19 among the congregation?
  • TH has always been cooperating with the Malaysian Ministry of Health in providing the best and adequate health services and Medical Staff in the Holy Land.

  • The addition of Medical Officers is subject to the health protocols and directives of the Government of Saudi Arabia.

  • The existing Medical Officers who have been selected this year are experienced in the management of CoViD-19 cases

Will the Prospective Hajj who have chronic diseases allowed to perform Hajj this year?
  • Prospective Hajj who suffer from high-risk and unstable chronic diseases does not meet the obligatory Hajj requirements (health status)

  • Only individuals with chronic pain who have been confirmed to be stable and has passed the health examination based on the criteria in the Health Examination Guidelines Edition 9 (1445H/2024)  are allowed to perform Hajj this year
