About CSR
TH shares its successes with stakeholders through the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. This aligns with Islamic principles and reflects TH's commitment as a compassionate organisation, with a mission to enhance the socio-economic status of Muslims in Malaysia.
TH’s CSR programs have benefited thousands of stakeholders nationwide, in line with the aspiration to share success with all.
TH CSR programs are divided into two (2) categories which are CSR Zakat Programmes and Contributions.
CSR Policy
This policy outlines the direction and function of TH’s CSR. It aims to define and emphasise the corporate responsibility principles that must be upheld at all levels, including management and the Lembaga, to achieve transparent, responsible, and sustainable business practices that have a comprehensive positive impact on society and stakeholders.
Policy Statement
TH upholds and adopts a corporate responsibility approach based on the concept of Enhancing and Sustaining Life.
TH is committed to contributing to the sustainable development of stakeholders, particularly members, Malaysian Hajj pilgrims, depositors, and the Islamic community, especially the poor, differently-abled, and those in need, without compromising integrity, work ethics, community, social, economic, and environmental aspects.
This commitment is reflected in the aspiration to realise TH’s Vision and Mission by embedding deep resolve and commitment in daily operations and special programs designed at the management and member levels.
TH also strives to enhance awareness and understanding among its members through the Tabung Haji Act 1995 (Act 535), Disciplinary Regulations, TH Integrity Policies, Financial Authority Manual, and the Office Management and Governance Manual, as guidelines for behavior and actions in carrying out daily activities and processes.
TH embraces corporate responsibility as:
- A strategic method to contribute positively to the success of its operations;
- Part of ongoing initiatives to build a positive image through the trust and confidence of the general public, the Islamic community, in TH;
- A continuous initiative to foster cooperation among members and cultivate a sense of pride and commitment to TH.
