Contributions
Each year, TH allocates a significant amount of contributions towards non-zakat CSR initiatives in an effort to share the success gained through the support and trust of depositors and stakeholders. These contributions are channeled towards various needs such as education, health, and more.
Hajj Financial Support
The largest and most significant CSR investment is the allocation for the Hajj Cost Subsidy for first-time Muassasah pilgrims each year. This subsidy has helped reduce the Hajj payment for a pilgrim to RM10,980 (B40 Group) and RM12,980 (Non-B40 Group), despite the actual Hajj cost per pilgrim increasing annually.
Since 2001, this subsidy has been part of TH’s efforts to safeguard the welfare of Malaysian Hajj pilgrims. The subsidy covers the Hajj operational costs in Malaysia and in the Holy Land. Additionally, TH allocates a significant portion of its expenditure to support Hajj operations, including Hajj guidance, medical services, financial support, and the services of Hajj staff.
Tabung Was'ul Khair Tetamu Allah
TH also implements the 'Tabung Was'ul Khair Tetamu Allah' initiative, which aims to partially finance the Hajj payments for pilgrims who meet all the application criteria and are selected to perform Hajj but face financial difficulties in making their payments.
The primary sources of this fund are contributions from TH and other individuals.
Kelab TaHa
Kelab TaHa was established on April 10, 2008, and rebranded on March 13, 2021, providing automatic membership to all depositors aged 17 and below. This rebranding aims to give young TH depositors the opportunity to benefit from Kelab TaHa programs and encourage them to start saving from an early age. This will provide them with a strong foundation for better financial planning in the future and open opportunities for them to perform Hajj at a young age. Additionally, Kelab TaHa members benefit from various academic programs and activities throughout the year, such as Examination Seminars, English Camps, and Motivation Camps. These activities aim to instill noble values and educational knowledge to help enhance students' academic excellence.
The English Camps are conducted to improve English proficiency among Kelab TaHa members. Examination Seminars are fully sponsored and funded by TH as part of its mission to improve students' academic performance. Beyond academic excellence, these activities also include character-building modules to help develop a pool of high-caliber talents within the community.
