KUALA LUMPUR, 11 January 2022 – Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) has appointed Mustakim Mohamad as its new Executive Director Group Finance effective 16 December 2021.

“Mustakim’s appointment takes into account his experience of having served for more than 18 years in TH, covering the areas of financial, investment and operations management. We are confident that he will be able to strengthen TH’s financial management further in line with the Strategic Plan to support TH Group transformation efforts amid the challenges presented by Covid-19,” he said.

Previously, he was the Acting Chief Financial Officer replacing Datuk Merina Abu Tahir who resigned last year.

Prior to this, he was the Executive Director Operations and was the Deputy Group Chief Financial Officer from August 2018 till April 2020.

Mustakim holds a Master’s in Finance from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) in Australia and also a chartered accountant certified by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He has over 22 years of working experience particularly in the areas of financial management and audit assurance in multinational corporations.

TH also expressed its deep appreciation and gratitude to Datuk Merina Abu Tahir for her utmost dedication and continuous commitment to TH.
