KUALA LUMPUR, 21 FEBRUARY 2022 – Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) has appointed Standard Chartered Saadiq Berhad (Saadiq) as its new TH’s collection agent effective on 15 January 2022. Through this partnership, it will benefit over 8.4 million of TH depositors particularly those who have accounts in Saadiq which allow them to make deposits to their own TH accounts or via third party through Saadiq’s web portal.

This initiative is intended to make it easier and ensure hassle-free for customers of both organisations to make deposits to TH accounts without having to visit to any TH branch counters.

“The appointment of Saadiq as TH’s latest collection agent will definitely expand TH digital access nationwide for its service. More than 80% of TH transactions were done via online involving THiJARI portals, ATMs and CDMs as well as internet banking of TH’s other strategic partner banks. This proved that online channels are well received by many of our TH depositors and through this initiative, transactions made will be more convenient for both TH and Standard Chartered Saadiq’s customers,” said Dato’ Sri Amrin Awaluddin, Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of TH.
