MELAKA, December 7, 2021 - Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) today handed over Zakat TH amounting to RM3,321,501.26 for the financial year ending 2020 to Pusat Zakat Melaka in a ceremony held at the Office of the T.Y.T Yang Dipertua Negeri Melaka.

Yang Dipertua Negeri Melaka T.Y.T Tun Datuk Seri Setia (Dr.) Hj. Mohd. Ali bin Mohd Rustam received the payment of Zakat TH from YBhg. Dato’ Haji Mokhzani bin Mukhtar, TH Southern Region Director. Zakat payments for the state of Melaka recorded an increase compared to 2020 (RM2,797,897.60). Zakat TH 2020 collection for all states has continued to record an increase to a total of RM100,416,202.83 compared to RM86,185,327.00 in 2020.

The ceremony which took place in full compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) set by the National Security Council and the Ministry of Health Malaysia was also attended by Y.A.B. Dato' Seri Utama Haji Sulaiman bin Md. Ali, Chief Minister of Melaka, Tuan Haji Roslan bin Jonet, Director of TH Melaka, senior state officers of Melaka and members of TH.
