KUALA LUMPUR, NOVEMBER 12, 2019 - Tabung Haji (TH) today held a Contribution Handover Ceremony for 2019 Iqra’ Programme for aspiring undergraduate students studying in local Institutes of Higher Learning
For this year’s Iqra’ TH Programme, TH has partnered with the Universities’ Zakat and Student Affairs Division to deliver a total donation of RM4,500,000.00 to six (6) selected IPTAs around the Klang Valley for the benefit of more than 2,200 aspiring students.This is also TH’s first time partnering with MyPac (Malaysia Professional Accountancy Center) in sponsoring 10 asnaf undergraduates to undergo full-time and part-time ACCA Programmes. TH has allocated RM454,032.90 for this program aimed at increasing the number of certified Muslim Bumiputera Professional Accountants (BPAs).“The main objective of the TH Iqra’ Program is to provide educational expenses assistance for asnaf students from the B40 family to cover their tuition, boarding, dining fees and personal expenses.
TH took this initiative in collaboration with several local universities and MyPAC to ease the burden on these asnaf students who have potential, “said Tuan Haji Nik Hasyudeen Yusoff.Also present at the ceremony were Tuan Hizamuddin Jamalluddin, Chief Strategy Officer and Chief of Staff of TH; selected university management representatives, MyPAC Board of Directors (Malaysia Professional Accountancy Center) and TH staff members
