SABAH, August 19, 2024: Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) today handed over Zakat amounting to RM2,082,343.25 to the Sabah Islamic Religious Council (MUIS). The Zakat was presented by YB Senator Dato' Setia Dr. Haji Mohd Na'im Bin Mokhtar, Minister of Religious Affairs in the Prime Minister's Department, to Tuan Yang Terutama Tun Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Juhar bin Haji Mahiruddin, the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sabah, at the Istana Seri Kinabalu, Sabah.

The event was also attended by YB Datuk Dr. Haji Mohd Arifin bin Datuk Haji Mohd Arif, JP, Sabah’s Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, who also serves as the State's Religious and Education Exco, and YBhg Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Yahya bin Haji Hussin, President of MUIS, along with the TH management team. It is hoped that this Zakat will benefit and help improve the economic status of the asnaf community in Sabah.
