HOSPITAL KUALA LUMPUR NOVEMBER 10, 2022 - Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) represented by YBhg. Dato' Sri Amrin Awaluddin, Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of TH in collaboration with SOCSO and Hospital Kuala Lumpur has officiated the launch of the Kuala Lumpur MENTARI Caring Center Project. This project is an activity to support psychiatric patients among SOCSO contributors to return to work through the Re-employment Support, Treatment and Rehabilitation Team programs ("RESTART").
TH has collaborated with SOCSO through the CSR-based Cakna Prihatin programs for projects that will have an impact on workforce development, job opportunities and income generation among SOCSO contributors and the general public. The concept of the Caring Center at Hospital Kuala Lumpur aims to provide Vocational Training, entrepreneurship and work trials as a preparatory process and to support productive and effective return to work activities.
This Caring Center project is aligned with Tabung Haji's Ikhtiar Program goals which provides zakat assistance in the form of capital injection to asnaf entrepreneurs who would like to start or expand their businesses based on their skills. This collaboration will help contributors who are facing health problems in getting the support they deserve to get back on their feet, continue their lives and return to generating income for themselves and their families.
