KUALA LUMPUR, 5 SEPTEMBER 2024: TH organized the Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Program as an initiative to raise awareness among TH staff about the prudent use of energy for environmental sustainability. The program was officiated by YBrs. Tuan Haji Ameen Abdul Wahab, Executive Director of Operations, and witnessed by YBrs. Tuan Koh Keng Sen, Chief Operating Officer of the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA).

The cultivation of energy management efficiency practices by TH has yielded results, with three (3) TH buildings—Menara TH Johor Bahru, Menara TH Bangsar, and Kompleks Haji Kelana Jaya, Selangor—receiving a five (5) Star rating through the National Building Energy Intensity certification by the Energy Commission of Malaysia. Additionally, seven (7) other buildings received a four (4) Star rating. In 2023, eleven (11) TH buildings were awarded the Diamond Rating certificate through the Low Carbon Building Assessment Greenpass Operation certification by SEDA, while three (3) other buildings were honored with the Green Building Index (GBI) certificate.

This effort demonstrates TH's commitment to supporting the Government's targets on climate change, energy, green buildings, and the requirements of laws related to environmental sustainability.
