KUALA LUMPUR, July 4, 2022: Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) handed over TH Zakat worth RM7,170,596.71 to the Islamic Religious Council & Perak Malay Custom (MAIPk) at Istana Changkat Persekutuan, Kuala Lumpur.

During the ceremony, the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah consented to accepting the zakat contributions amounting to RM11.8 million from 10 corporate companies on behalf of MAIPk.

The zakat handover preceded with TH, represented by the Group Finance Executive Director, Mustakim Mohamad with zakat contribution of RM7.17 million, followed by FGV Holdings Berhad which was represented by FGV Group Chief Executive Officer, Mohd Nazrul Izam Mansor (RM1.2 million).

They were followed by  Bank Rakyat (RM878,540), Etiqa Family Takaful Berhad and Etiqa General Takaful Berhad (RM695,330), National Farmer Organization (NAFAS) (RM592,374), Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (RM435,000), Boustead Plantations Berhad (RM296,623).

Also presenting their zakat contributions wereBank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad (RM276,734), R&Z Enterprise (RM200,000), and Sinar Beseri (RM125,000). Also present were representatives from their respective agencies and were also joined by Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja, Tan Sri Dr Mohd Zahidi Zainuddin; Yang Dipertua MAIPk, Tan Sri Mohd Annuar Zaini; MAIPk member, Professor Datuk Dr. Ansary Ahmed; and MAIPk Chief Executive Officer, Shahrul Azam Shaari.
