Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) today organizes the Khatam Al-Quran and TH World #QuranHour in its efforts to pursue the tradition of enhancing Islamic teachings and focusing on various Quranic activities in headquarters, branches and subsidiary companies; BIMB Holdings Berhad, Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad, Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Keluarga Berhad, TH Properties, TH Hotels & Residences, TH Travel & Services, TH Plantations Berhad and Theta Edge - at the Surau Menara TH Tun Razak. 

A total of 1,072 members at TH and its subsidiaries throughout the country have completed the reciting of the Al-Quran in this TH program which has been implemented since the month of Rejab. The organizing of this program is to inculcate the love of kalamullah (Al-Quran) among the members of the TH Group.

At the same event, TH also provided full support for the TH World #QuranHour program with the reading and teaching of Surah Al-Kahfi as a sura of choice. The cooperation program between Surau TH and Yayasan Ummah Ikhlas is a foundation of Ummah solidarity under the auspices of the Quran.

YBhg. Dato 'Sri Zukri Samat, Group Managing Director and TH Chief Executive Officer, said this year's RSR Program maintains several key programs continuing to meet its social responsibilities in assisting the needy in the month of Ramadan and easing their burden in making preparations for the coming Aidilfitri . It can also increase the socio-economic level of the ummah as a whole.

In addition to fulfilling Islamic demands to help each other especially the asnaf, this CSR program is the best platform for TH to reach and strengthen the society. TH Group has issued zakat of RM98.75 million in 2018. This amount is the total amount of TH's zakat including its subsidiaries such as BIMB Holdings and Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad, he added.
