Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) today handed over TH's Zakat amounting to RM 1,706,981.57 for the financial year ending 2018 to the Sabah Islamic Religious Council (MUIS) at a ceremony at The Maggelan Sutera Resort, Kota Kinabalu.

Tuan Yang Terutama Tun Datuk Seri Panglima (Dr.) Haji Juhar Datuk Haji Mahiruddin, Yang Di Pertua Negeri Sabah has been granted the payment of TH's Zakat from YBhg. Datin Nurlaila Said, State Director of TH Sabah. The zakat payment for the state of Sabah increased by 28.2% compared to 2017 (RM 1,331,855.04).

The total amount of Zakat payment of TH 2018 continued to register an increase of 26.6% (RM85.57 million) as compared to 2017 (RM67.61).

Also present at the ceremony were YB Datuk Haji Aidi Haji Mokhtar, Minister of Laws and Native Affairs; YB Datuk Haji Uda Sulai, Assistant Minister of Law and State Affairs; YBhg. Datuk Seri Panglima Dr. Haji Habullah Haji Mohd Taha, the MUIS President; MUIS officers and TH staff members.
