IPOH, 7 May 2021 - Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) handed over TH Zakat amounting to RM7,036,598.40 for the financial year ending 2020 to Majlis Agama Islam dan Adat Melayu Perak (MAIPk) in a ceremony held in Istana Kinta, Ipoh, Perak.

DYMM Paduka Seri Sultan Perak Darul Ridzuan Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah has accepted the TH Zakat contribution by Tuan Haji Mohamad bin Abas,TH  Perak State Director. TH Zakat contribution to the State of Perak has recorded an increase as compared to the year 2019 (RM5,973,516.04). Nation-wide TH Zakat 2020 contribution continues to record an increase with a total of to RM100,416,202.83 compared to the year 2019 with RM86,185,327.00.

The ceremony took place in full compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) set by the National Security Council, and Ministry of Health Malaysia. The ceremony was also attended by YABhg Jen. Dato’ Seri DiRaja Tan Sri Dr Mohd Zahidi bin Haji Zainuddin (Retired), Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja, YB Dato' Ahmad Suaidi bin Abdul Rahim, State Secretary of Perak, YABhg Dato' Seri Mohd Annuar bin Zaini, Yang Dipertua MAIPk, YBrs Tuan Shahrul Azam bin Shaari, MAIPk Chief Executive Officer along with 7 other Zakat Contributors.
