KUALA LUMPUR, March 26, 2021 - Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) has and is actively preparing to ensure a smooth operation of the Hajj season 1442H / 2021M despite the various challenges due to the Covid-19 pandemic. 

In a press conference held at Menara TH, TH Executive Director of Hajj, Dato' Sri Syed Saleh Syed Abdul Rahman said that all the initial preparations, including the operations and procedures at the departure stations nationwide, has placed the new norms into consideration. TH is also making preparations in terms of accommodation, travels, meals, fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and other related matters in the Holy Land of Makkah and Medina.

“While there is still no certainty about the implementation of this year's Hajj, we need to be proactive in our preparations. The Malaysian government and TH are still waiting for the official announcement by the Saudi Arabian Government regarding Hajj and the number of local pilgrims allowed to carry out the fifth pillar of Islam this year, ”he explained.
