IPOH, Aug. 26, 2020 - Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) today handed over zakat amounting to RM5,973,516.04 for the financial year ended 2019 to the Majlis Agama Islam dan Adat Melayu Perak (MAIPk) in a simple ceremony at the Kompleks Islam Darul Ridzuan.

DYMM Paduka Seri Sultan Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Azlan Shah Muhibbuddin Shah Al Mahgfur-lah has accepted the payment of Zakat TH from Tuan Haji Shamsul Kamal bin Hussein Kamal, Chief Technology Officer of TH. The zakat payment for the state of Perak recorded an increase in comparison to 2018 (RM5,785,570.19).

Also present at the ceremony were YB. Dato' Ahmad Saudi bin Abdul Rahim, Perak State Secretary, YBhg. Tan Sri Dato' Seri Dr Wan Mohd Zahid bin Mohd Nordin, MAIPk President, Tuan Haji Rozimin Ahmed Kamil, Director of TH Perak and representatives from government and private agencies who also handed over their respective zakat at the event.
