KOTA KINABALU, 7 September 2020 - Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) today handed over zakat contributions to 121 asnaf students at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Perempuan (SMP) Likas, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah during the YB Minister's in the Prime Minister's Department Mandate Ceremony to members of Sabah religious agencies' staff members at Raia Hotel.

YB Senator Datuk Dr. Haji Zulkifli Mohamad Al Bakri, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department handed over TH contribution amounting to RM36,300 to Ustazah Saredah Ismail who represents the school and TH contribution amounting to RM10,000 to Dr. Haji Che Ik, representing SMP Likas' Parents and Teachers Association (PIBG) for the purpose of repairing the school's surau.

TH is committed to running zakat programs to help the target groups, especially the asnaf group, in support of sustaining the development of the ummah and to strengthen its image as a respected Islamic institution due to its achievements and good governance.
