Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) made a zakat contribution totalling RM 4,516,921.10 for financial year ended 2017 to Majlis Agama Islam dan Adat Melayu Terengganu today during a ceremony which took place in Istana Syarqiyyah, Kuala Terengganu.

Duli Yang Maha Mulia Al-Watiqu Bilah Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah Shah, Sultan Terengganu has graced the event and accepted the contribution from YBhg. Dato’ Badlisyah Abdul Ghani, TH Deputy Chief Executive Officer. The amount of TH's zakat contribution to the state of Terengganu has increased  13.72% compared to RM 3,971,912.54 (2016).

TH made the zakat contribution at the beginning of every year, with the hopes of contributing towards the sustainability of designed zakat programs which are targeted for asnafs who are qualified. TH has always prioritized the sustainability of ummah's economy and with this zakat contribution, it is hoped to improve the economic activity of the asnaf," said YBhg.
