KUALA LUMPUR, FEBRUARY 14, 2022 - Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) donates 25 vehicles (multipurpose vans) worth RM2.3 million to selected welfare homes and associations through the TH Mobility Program during the Serahan Perdana Ceremony in TH Tower Tun Razak, today.

Minister in the Prime Minister Department (Religious Affairs), YB Senator Datuk Haji Idris bin Haji Ahmad said, there are still charity bodies that are still facing lack of funds to purchase their own vehicles and since the COVID-19 pandemic hits the country at the end of 2019, their financial resources were also affected.

Chairman of TH, YBhg Tan Sri Azman Haji Mokhtar, also said that TH has distributed multi purpose vehicles or multipurpose vans to mosques for funeral managements and various religious activities for the parishioners since 2016. Since its introduction, TH has donated more than 56 vehicles to selected mosques across the country for the benefit of over 200 thousand parishes (surrounding population).
