KOTA KINABALU, November 11, 2021 - Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) today handed over TH Zakat amounting to RM 2,104,543.47 for the financial year ending 2020 to the Majlis Ugama Islam Sabah (MUIS) in a ceremony held at the Chief Minister’s Office, Sabah.

The zakat was handed over by the Director of TH for Sabah and Sarawak, YBhg. Datin Hajah Nurlaila binti Haji Said to the Deputy President of MUIS, Ustaz Malai Ali Malai Ahmad. The ceremony was also attended by YAB Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji bin Haji Noor, Chief Minister of Sabah. Zakat payments for the state of Sabah recorded an increase compared to the year 2020 (RM 1,774,247.05). 

The ceremony took place in full compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) set by the National Security Council and Ministry of Health Malaysia. Also present were YB Datuk Hj. Mohd Arifin bin Hj. Mohd Arif, Sabah Special Tasks Minister; Tuan Haji Yusdi bin Nasip, Director of TH Sabah; the senior management of MUIS and members of TH.
