The Tabung Haji (TH) Board today handed over Zakat TH amounting to RM2,693,964.62 for the financial year ending 2018 to Zakat Melaka in a brief ceremony at the Chief Minister's Office, YAB Tuan Adly bin Zahari.

The Zakat Ceremony was officiated by Tuan Haji Meor Khairi bin Meor Mohd Bazid, Head of Portfolio Management (Domestic Equity). The zakat payment for the state of Melaka recorded an increase of 28.2% compared to 2017 (RM 2,100,930.99).

The total amount of Zakat payment of TH 2018 continued to register an increase of 26.6% (RM85.57 million) as compared to 2017 (RM67.61).

This year, TH further empowered its responsibilities with the implementation of the Zakat Program aimed at those in need through the implementation of education, entrepreneurship, welfare and community programs.
