Investment
Investment is one of TH’s core activities besides hajj and savings management. Depositors’ savings are invested in shariah-compliant investment to generate sustainable and competitive returns.
Objectives
- To deliver sustainable and competitive returns to the depositors from capital gains and dividends at reasonable risk level that commensurate with prevailing market conditions.
- Invest in permissible investment, prudent and safe in order to provide returns that are comparable to the market, while ensuring continuous growth.
Detail breakdown on Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA)
TH's investment strategy is anchored in a Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) framework, approved by the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs).
This framework encompasses five (5) primary asset classes: fixed income, equity, private equity, real estate, and cash. To enhance TH’s investment strategy, the SAA undergoes periodic reviews and adjustments, ensuring that investment objectives and returns are achieved within acceptable risk levels.
Investment Framework
Major investment decisions and policies will go through a series of approval levels and processes before it is approved by the Minister in-charge.
Annual General Meeting
General Meetings (Annual General Meeting/ Extraordinary General Meeting)
