    DATUK SERI JOHAN ABDULLAH
    GROUP MANAGING DIRECTOR AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

    Datuk Seri Johan Abdullah holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Finance) from Morehead State University, Kentucky, United States (USA) and a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration (Finance) from Eastern Michigan University, Michigan USA.

    Prior to joining TH, he was the Group Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer of BIMB Holdings Berhad (BHB) since May 2008. He is a Board Member in various subsidiary companies within BHB’s Group. He held various senior positions while he was with Bursa Malaysia Berhad and has extensive experience in corporate finance, capital market and Islamic banking.

    He was appointed as Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer TH on 1 July, 2016.



    DATO’ BADLISYAH ABDUL GHANI
    DEPUTY CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

    Dato’ Badlisyah Abdul Ghani was born in 1974 is from Ipoh, Perak. He is a Chartered Banker under the Asian Institute of Bankers (AICB), a Chartered Professional in Islamic Finance under Chartered Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals and holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom.

    Prior to joining TH he was the Chief Executive Officer of the Islamic Banking Division of CIMB Group. His career path also included the positions of Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of CIMB Islamic Bank Berhad, the Country Head of Middle East and Brunei of CIMB Group and was attached with the offshore banking subsidiary of Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad.

    Dato’ Badlisyah is the founding President of the Chartered Institute of Islamic Finance Professional (CIIF) as well as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Islamic Banking and Finance Institute Malaysia. He has extensive experience in the field of finance and served in various other organisations and industry committees locally and abroad.

    Dato’ Badlisyah was accorded the Islamic Banker of the Year Awards in multiple years throughout his 19 years career in Islamic finance and was named one of Top 20 Pioneer in Islamic Finance by Euromoney in 2004. He is an alumnus of the ICLIF program and a lifetime member of ANSARA Taiping. 

    Dato’ Badlisyah joined as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Lembaga Tabung Haji on 1 July 2016.



    DATO’ ADI AZUAN ABDUL GHANI
    CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

    Dato’ Adi Azuan bin Abdul Ghani is a Chief Operating Officer of TH since October 2015. He started his professional career in the auditing and accounting fields with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Kuala Lumpur in year 1996. He has been Non-Independent & Non-Executive Director of Y.S.P. Southeast Asia Holdings Berhad since December 1, 2004 and Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of TH in Theta Edge Berhad.

    He graduated with UK BSc (Honours) Accounting from Queen’s University of Belfast and ACCA from Emile Woolf College, London, UK. He is a Fellow Member of the ACCA (FCCA) and also a member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).



    DATUK ROZAIDA OMAR
    GROUP CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

    Datuk Rozaida Omar joined TH in 2004. She has vast experience in the field of finance and responsible for the financial management of TH and the Group. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountant (FCCA) and represents TH as nominee director for Pelikan International Corporation Berhad, BIMB Holdings Berhad and Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Berhad.



    DATO’ SYED SALEH SYED ABDUL RAHMAN
    SENIOR GENERAL MANAGER HAJJ

    Dato’ Syed Saleh Syed Abdul Rahman began his career with TH in 1987. In his 29 years with TH, he has held various positions in Corporate Finance & Services, Fund Management, Business Development and Equity & Property Investment. He has also spearheaded TH Travel & Services Sdn. Bhd, one of TH’s subsidiaries.

    He holds a Master’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the University of Wales, United Kingdom.

    Since 2011, Dato’ Syed Saleh has served as the Senior General Manager (Hajj), responsible for the management and administration of hajj operations in Malaysia and the Holy Land.



    ABD KADIR SAHLAN
    CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER

    Holder of a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge, Abd Kadir Sahlan joined TH in June 2010 with 24 years of extensive investment experience.

    His key role is to formulate Shariah investment strategies in achieving sustainable and competitive return for TH.

    He is responsible for the management of investment portfolios comprising equities, fixed income, treasury, private equity funds and outsourcing programmes.



    RIFINA MD ARIFF
    SENIOR GENERAL MANAGER CORPORATE FINANCE AND SERVICES

    Rifina Md Ariff was appointed as Senior General Manager, Corporate Finance & Services TH on 15 December 2014. She has solid background in the areas of investment, corporate finance and banking. She began her career as Senior Officer in Permata Merchant Bank in 1990. From 1994 until 2000, she was Senior Manager at Amanah Saham Mara Berhad and subsequently Assistant Vice President of Affin Merchant Bank Berhad for 2 years, prior to joining TH in 2002. In 2009, she was seconded to Pelikan Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG, Hannover, Germany for 4 years before returning to TH in July 2013.

    She serves as TH Nominee Director in several companies including BIMB Holdings Berhad, Abraj Sdn Bhd, Abraj Management Sdn Bhd, TH Marine Sdn Bhd and TH Alam Holdings (L) Inc. and LTH Property Investment (L) Inc. She also sits as Director in TH’s UK companies namely Leatherhead Properties Ltd and LTH Property 2 Limited.



    MOHD HISHAM HARUN
    SENIOR GENERAL MANAGER HUMAN RESOURCE

    Mohd Hisham Harun began his career in 1993 with Coopers & Lybrand/PriceWaterhouseCoopers, initially as an Auditor and later as a Corporate Finance Consultant. He joined TH in 1999 as a Senior Manager, Corporate Planning and was appointed as General Manager of the Investment Management Division in 2004. He was then appointed as Senior General Manager, Corporate Finance & Services in 2011 to lead and coordinate the process of identifying opportunities through corporate action and restructuring of the investee companies, evaluation of investment opportunities and deals on unlisted shares; and evaluation of real estate investments.

    In February 2014, he was appointed to helm the Human Resource Department with the responsibility to implement strategic and structured human capital development and management for organisational success.

    TH is led by seven (7) departments with their own functions which are arranged in a systematic way to ensure an efficient and competent service to all parties.
    • Group Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer Office

      Internal Audit Division
      This division is responsible in carrying out activities independently, with an objective to add value and improve TH operations. It helps the organization to accomplish its objectives by introducing a systematic way to assess and improve organization’s effectiveness in managing risk and integrity management.

      Integrity Division
      Responsible for developing fair, transparent and independent business environment that is free from corruption, misappropriation and power abuse. It enhances the business and corporate governance effectiveness for the benefits of TH stakeholders and depositors. The division also strives to improve efficiency in service delivery, internal controls and the implementation of integrity culture within the organization.

      Legal & Secretariat Division
      Provides corporate advisory services, drafting, review of legal documentations, litigation, investigation, preparation and prosecution of cases involving offenses under the Act 1995 and Regulations In Force and corporate and secretarial services.

      The Risk Management
      Responsible in implementing risk management culture actively and consistently at all levels of TH. It provides independent advice based on the concept of risk management in order to improve operational efficiency at TH. It also manages key risks in TH based on comprehensive Risk Management Framework.

      Shariah Division
      Functions of Shariah Division are to carry out negotiation, research and review of TH and its subsidiaries investment activities, business, operation in respect of Shariah compliance. It also responsible to monitor the resolutions and decisions implemented by Shariah Advisory Committee and oversees its implementation in TH business and daily operations.

      Shariah Division is accountable to ensure policies, procedures and necessary processes are in compliance with Shariah.

      Public Affairs and Corporate Communications
      The functions of this department include planning and implementing the activities of internal and external relationships, disseminating accurate and timely information, coordinating image management and TH identity towards excellence.

      Hajj Consul
      This division is responsible in establishing and maintaining good relationship between TH and the Saudi authorities with relation to hajj affairs, managing accommodations for Malaysian pilgrims, purchasing supplies for the pilgrims and to ensuring Umrah pilgrims under TH subsidiary are getting the best services promised.

      DEPOSITORY SERVICES AND OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT

      This department is responsible for all matters related to deposits and withdrawals of money either at the headquarter, district offices, state offices or agencies appointed by TH such as Bank Islam, Bank Simpanan Nasional and Post Offices.

      The department works towards strengthening and enhancing the marketing and service activities, in order to increase depositors’ confidence in TH.

      Branch Office Operations Division
      This division manages the administration of TH branches in states and districts as to improve the quality of services and facilities provided to the depositors. It is responsible to ensure all depositors’ money from designated banks is credited to TH account in the shortest time, in order to maximize the usage and investment of funds.

      Savings and Withdrawals Division
      Manages depositors’ accounts and records in a professional and trustworthy manner. Ensures satisfactory services to depositors, and increases their confidence level, hence they will continue to save in TH and create deposit and withdrawal service capability which enable transaction services to be made in both Malaysia and Saudi Arabia.

      Customer Service Division
      Plans and coordinates marketing strategies and activities to be implemented according to TH management’s current goal. It is also is responsible to obtain depositors’ perspective about the products and services provided by TH.

      HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT

      Department of Human Resources (HRD) develops the capacity to support the needs and objectives of the organization. HRD recruits workforce who is competent, confident and capable in increasing the productivity and effectiveness of the TH community, while promoting a healthy and competitive working culture. It creates a harmonious and productive working environment in accordance to the organization’s needs.

      Human Resources Management Division
      This division is responsible to carry out planning and recruitment process efficiently to ensure only positive, competitive and determined workforces are taken in as a members of the organization.

      Human Resource Development and Quality Division
      The division shapes and develops the training needs of the existing workforce from time to time, in a quest to improve employees’ motivational level, skills and capabilities. It also acts as an agent of change to implement and ensure the principles of TQM (Total Quality Management) based on Quality Management System are embraced as a working culture by all members of TH.

      Industrial and Employee Relations Division
      This division is responsible to ensure harmonious relationship among TH staff while ensuring organization’s regulation is well established and practiced by all employees. This division acts as an intermediary between the TH Management and TH staff. In general, this division was established to support and ensure that the aspirations and objectives of the organization are well received and supported by all levels of TH workforces.

    • Finance Department

      Finance Department (FD) is responsible to plan, formulate and prepare a budget for each department based on their needs, for the purpose of achieving organizational objectives effectively. In addition, this department plays an important role in getting maximum returns from short-term investments and building rentals. It is also responsible in managing the financial affairs of TH, in line with the requirements and sound financial control.

      Background and Functions of Finance Department
      FD is headed by the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and five (5) Heads of the Division as follows:

      The main functions of FD:

      1. Responsible in administering and managing financial control of TH, according to the policies set by TH.
      2. Develops policies and financial regulations for the implementation of effective and efficient systems and procedures which resulted in the best quality of work.
      3. Performs financial analysis in making effective financial decisions.
      4. Monitors, evaluates and improves financial operations according to an approved financial plan.

    • Hajj Department

      Provides services required to enable the Malaysian Muslims to perform the Hajj properly, in a safe and cost effective way, so as to obtain Mabrur hajj

      Hajj Management Division
      Provides management and operational infrastructure to enhance the quality of hajj and controls/coordinates the activities related to pilgrims’ welfare according to their position as a Guest of Allah SWT.

      Domestic Operations Division
      Responsible in handling pilgrims, such as registration, allocation for passport, visa and coordination of flight management, with relation to a domestic Hajj operation

      Guidance Division
      Responsible in providing guidance through an integrated hajj module, publishes hajj materials for pilgrims’ references and provides a team of religious teachers to guide the pilgrims effectively.

      Hajj Research and Development Division
      This department is responsible to prepare, and control the research and development (R & D) activities from time to time based on available budget. It leads the ‘Pasukan Penggerak Utama’ (PPU) and secretariat of the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System, Hajj Services (QMS ISO PH) and other improvement initiatives. It carries out activities under the Academy of Hajj.

      Hajj Agency Division
      Responsible to organize a licensed “Pengelola Jemaah Haji” (PjH) under the provisions of section 27-36, TH Act 1995 and to enforce any breach of the section and to increase PjH’s level of professionalism in performing hajj management.

    • Investment Department

      This department is responsible to ensure all investment activities are Shariah-compliant and aimed at providing competitive returns. It provides measures to diversify and strengthen its investment activities to increase profitability and to work towards mobilization of community funds, besides improving the production of goods and facilities that can be utilized by the public. Focus will be on the companies which are viable and efficient.

      The department strives to identify industrial sectors which have high potential in order to ensure successful investment.

    • Corporate Finance and Services Department

      Corporate Finance and Services Department is responsible in strengthening the stock and real estate investments of TH through a comprehensive evaluation of strategic opportunities, efficient and robust monitoring systems, rehabilitation and improvement of TH investment and regulatory corporate governance. In addition, CFS also serves to ensure that all restructuring and corporate actions on stocks and real estate investments are leveraged in the interest of TH.
